How in the hell did they win that game?

Box Score

- Jojo MF Kemp. 131 yards rushing and 3 TDs. Grown arse man. Can run his mouth all he wants from here on out.

- Was proud of the way Towles came back out after the fumble and regained composure. I was really worried he'd have issues with that like he did last week. Either needs to work on his grip (as they pointed out, it's like 2 fingers on the end of the ball) or get a glove.

- The run defense is going to have to improve drastically if they want to do anything with Georgia or Mississippi State. Thankfully Spurrier went full Spurrier and got away from the run late.

- Props to the secondary late in the game. I give them their fair amount of shite (and sometimes rightfully so) for being a little underwhelming, but for their lack of coverage they still have a nose for getting to the ball. I believe we're already at 7 or 8 INTs on the year.

It only gets tougher from here, but we could be looking at the UofL game for bowl eligibility.

Yeah, the stats show otherwise, but this team managed to find the internal strength to make plays when needed.
I'm loving what Stoops has instilled in this team. They don't quit and play hard. I kept saying last night that it wasn't over, but when USC got 2 TD's up I thought it really was.
Heard getting hurt really made Kemp step up, and I expect you will see a good mix of Towles and wildcat the rest of the season.

Not sure what this will do for the rest of the year, but it sure looks like more games are winnable than at the beginning of the season. Will see how it plays out.

So proud of the cats, and happy for Stoops. He was so happy after the game.

Just think, we are one play away from being 5-0 and leading the East. Unreal.

This and Lorenzo Ward. Never did anything to adjust to the wildcat formation.

JoJo was simply amazing, imo. TBH, I saw the same in Gurley during our game (not RB/talent wise) but in terms of Gurley refusing to let his team lose. He singlehandedly willed them to win. JoJo did the same. And I don't know if you recall UT's Al Wilson but he had that gift throughout his career - simply amazing.

As for the wildcat, you may or may not realize it but it give trouble to a ton of teams - a lot of it is because it's not a common/game to game formation but usually used sparsely BUT the other thing a lot of fans don't realize is that it adds extra blockers for your RB to deal with the opponent's oline in general - it even works well on passing plays when it's executed well. It gives even good dlines fits for those reasons but it's particularly deadly if you have a dynamic athlete to run it. JoJo was that athlete.
