And we just faked it reasonably well against terrible defenses for the first four weeks.

I honestly am starting to wonder is the opening win at USC wasn't the greatest con job ever on the part of Hill and these receivers. This "slump" is starting to just seem like reality.

Really hope we can figure it out.

Big question is whether we will get better. We got dominated by a much better team today.

We really needed Nick Harvey and Malcome Kennedy today.

We REALLY need Harvey going forward. Neither Davis nor Harris is going to cut it at CB.

Not just the last two weeks. We haven't played a complete game since SC. Even in our blowout wins, we were struggling a bit on O but could get away with it. Somehow we thought we could keep traipsing along like that and win the West. Got lucky against Arkansas.

My takeaway... this was a continuation of the last 4 games. Watched the game when I got home. I counted 9 passes that were just flat dropped. 3 that should have been caught and a couple of more that could have been caught but would have been great catches. 5 of the dropped passes were 3rd down throws that stopped drives when it mattered. Dropped passes killed drives all day long.

You throw in 10 more completions and the drives continue, defense stays off the field, etc.. The drops changed the entire complexion of this game. Miss St. did not stop us, we really stopped ourselves. 10 more completions and Hill is 47-62 and we have over 600 yards of offense. We killed our own drives.

Our O-line gave Hill plenty of time to throw when the game was close. Once we got far enough behind they started getting pressure on him.

We obviously aren't a good defensive team but if we move the ball consistently and keep them off the field they might be adequate. This D cannot play 60+ snaps and hold their own. Not enough size or depth.

Hill consistently throws slightly behind receivers and underthrowing most of the deep balls. Has been doing this for the past month.

Very poor performance by the receivers. They started the domino effect.
