Hugh took his wife on luxurious honeymoon to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg. On the car ride up, he decided they would break into Neyland Stadium. It is also rumored that they went to Dollywood and ate at a different pancake house every night for supper. This is known as the pancake trail. The outlet clothing and year round Xmas decorations make more sense now. One of the most romantic stories I have read. Any other Mississippians have similar love stories?

I know this has been discussed, I just couldn't find the topic.

Gatlinburg was recently named the third most popular honey moon destination behind Hawaii and Vegas. Soooo...

Hugh also got some sweet pocket knives and throwing stars. He bought his wife some taffy. Bitches love taffy.

Sad thing is, many of those probably included a B&E as well.

I wonder if they stayed in a cabin named something "hearts" or something "bear" that had what is advertised as a jacuzzi that was heart shaped?

Freeze was a poor assistant high school coach at the time. He wasn't going to spend a month traveling the globe for his honeymoon.

I'm not ragging on him for going to Gatlinburg, just responding to the statement that it's the third most popular vacation spot. Whether it's 50 people or 50,000 the Redneck Riviera is a messed up place to be.

No hate on Freeze, though. He's had a hell of a career compared to the rest of his species, who build dams and swim in rivers.

... Should he apologize for not yet being a millionaire?

IF you read the rest of that article and don't have respect for the man.. I have trouble believing you are human. The man worked hard and never gave up. Much respect to him and his family.

Also I Think he can afford nicer vacation destinations now. If he ever took vacations... the man lives to recruit. Be scared SEC of the recruiting Machine known as FREEZUS

Willing to bet that Freeze has more money in his checking account right now than the OP will make in the year. It's not how you start, it's how you finish. I'd be willing to bet a lot Freeze is beating the OP at life.

maybe he paid for it himself and simply didn't hve the resources most young people today have. that is mommy and daddy throwing money at 'em and paying for the wedding, the rings, the honeymoon, down payment for the house, etc, etc.

I know it was a long time ago, but my finance' and I paid for everything. And I sold my ford maverick to pay for our honeymoon in the Smokies.

neither of our parents had the money to pay for weddings. they were stupid I guess and helped pay for their children's college education instead.

believe it or not, I wouldn't change a damn thing. a man is what HE does, not his parents.

Sounds a lot like date night with Bert...except for the part about Gatlinburg. And Neyland Stadium. And Dollywood, and the outlet clothing...and the Xmas decorations.

But the rest of it...that's right up Bert's alley.

The load he blew in her that night is going to pale in comparison to the one that will be running down Nick's face tomorrow night.
