Auburn vs LSU - Can Mississippi State use this game as a measuring stick?

Will LSU show up on the road and give Auburn a game? Harris can / may turn things around on offense, but it's the other side of the ball I'd be more worried about.

Other than having the most felons on the field at once between 2 teams, what key notes can we take away from this game?

I think LSU pulls the upset. Harris should've started day 1 (gave us fits) and the KSU game was an abortion.

Yes because the transitive property is fantastic.

I'm sure Auburn is sitting back thinking about how badly they are going to rip A&M a new one after the Arky-Aggie game.

After State gets slaughtered at home this weekend, it won't really matter too much.

I hate we didn't play Auburn first like we usually do since we have them in Starkville.

'Preciate your interest in our new starting QB.

I don't agree that he should have started day 1 but I think that the sky is the limit with him in the saddle now.

This year isn't our year. Next year has a lot of potential though. This year is all about developing Harris. We can only hope he stays through at least his junior year.

Our teams are very similar this year, and if we both come out of this weekend unscathed (like we will) it'll be a pretty big deal. I can't wait to see you redheaded fricks in Davis Wade again.

Cant really use it as a measuring stick if LSU wins. BH will have played more than 2 minutes in this game. And if LSU loses, regardless it will make your win look more like LSU just isnt good rather than you are good.

An LSU loss to last year's National Title contender at home shouldn't make them look bad IMHO.

Im not saying people will think MSU actually sucks if LSU loses, im just saying they'll start to be less impressed with MSUs win b/c they'll just look at LSU as not a good team that's super super young.

Just think MSU fans looking to have LSU/AU validate their team are in more of a lose/lose situation more than a win/lose. If LSU wins, the media will say if only BH has played even a full quarter against state. Sort of similar to all the hypothetical talk that was out there when FSUs winston was out for the clemson game and the media was going what if they lose only this game b/c if they had lost everyone woulda chaulked it up to him being out. idk, just my opinion. Besides, MSU can measuring stick itself by beating A&M more than anything.

The exit is <------------------. No one cares about A&M here. We are talking about next week's real football game.

It's more of a conference thing than team validation. We always have close games with Auburn, and it's a series I enjoy almost as much as Ole Miss. I know they don't care about MSU, but there is usually a kooky outcome between the two nonetheless.

Agreed, but I feel better about the aTm game than the Auburn game at this point, and that's why this LSU / AU game is the second most important to me come Saturday.

Melt day #11

I really am eager to see what Harris can do from scrimmage on the road.
