Sacks and TFL are much improved, which is a big reason for the much improved YPG allowed as well. Good stuff

Updated. We are the 18th worst team nationally in turnover margin.

we have improved on defense, that's clear.

many of our offensive statistics, however, are extremely misleading because of how many "moral victory" points we have gotten at the end of the last two games.

So last year we had already lost to the Bama schools, and this year the Mississipi ones? Means we should beat Bama and Auburn this year right?

The most serious concern by far is turnover margin. A&M has gained a grand total of 6 turnovers this season:

SC: interception
Lamar: interception, muffed punt
Rice: none
SMU: none
Arkansas: fumbled snap
Mississippi State: muffed punt, fumble
Ole Miss: none

First 7 games last year:

Rice - 2 interceptions
Sam Houston - 2 interceptions
Alabama - fumble
SMU - 2 fumbles, 1 interception
Arkansas - 2 interceptions
Ole Miss - 1 interception
Auburn - fumble

The 2013 defense forced 11 turnovers through 7 games last year. The 2014 defense has forced 4.
