Kentucky game improvements.

What do you want to see out of the Gamecocks this Saturday to help resuscitate your enthusiasm for football?
1) I want to see continued defensive improvement. I think they are getting more used to the game and have been better every game. I would like to see continued rotation to get as many of our younger guys game action.
2) I want to see Shaq Roland do anything positive, for fricks sake... play up to your promise anytime now, asshat.
3) More solid O-line play on both passing and running push. Even if that means continued rotations to get some different people out there.
4) Some kind of kick/punt return game. Better blocking on punt returns would help immensely.
5) A backup QB get in the game. I don't care if it's because we're up big or because Thompson, yet again, runs into a sack instead of throwing it away and gets benched for a series or two. One of my biggest fears is the Thompson gets hurt and we put in either Orth or Mitch and neither have had a single game snap all year.
6) I want to see a complete game. We've been either great/good/solid on offense and a sieve on defense or good/solid on defense and frustratingly bland on offense. Or our ST will just shite the bed. I want at least one game this year where everything comes together... why not now against Kentucky?
I don't even need all of these, just a couple to get my motivation back. I'm still going to watch every down of football... but I'd like to be doing it because of what great thing I'll see next instead of watching a car accident...

I want to see us win and I want to see someone besides Eill sport playing RG.
Also want to see David Williams, but I've given up on that happening unless it's garbage time

I get not seeing much of Williams this season (aside from the constant "to0 talented to keep off the field" coach speak that was kind of grating for the first three games). If Wilds or Davis were playing poorly, then him getting more time would make sense. But they've both been more than competent enough to keep him third/fourth on the depth chart. His time is coming, though, and I can't wait.

1) If we have a lead, open up the playbook. Last week's 3Q was the most frustrating stretch of football I've ever watched in WB. Everyone in my section knew we were going to lose by one. Play to win.
2) A Shaq Roland sighting. I guess he'll be here next year, but that's not worth much if he won't do a damn thing then, either.
3) A complete performance on both sides of the ball.

I should really learn to keep my trap shut as a Gamecock fan... Thompson didn't practice and is questionable for Saturday? Awesome...

I just want to see our defense ready to hit somebody into next week.

Still with the neck sprain? Whiplash.
He'll be fine by Saturday, I have no doubt about that. I'm still with you though, I want to see Mitch in the game this Saturday if at all possible.
Knock on wood ... but weird things seem to happen to us at Kentucky for some reason. At Kentucky and at Vandy. We'd better start preparing some depth at QB regardless of everything else the way Thompson is taking hits and sacks.
ETA: I want to see us control the game. Just play solid football from bell to bell.

Ain't that the truth.

... DBs played decent, I guess... other than that it was a shite show of being completely unable to stop one formation.

Or don't even make it to the state... same difference.

O line might have been the one bright spot last night. No sacks or QB hurries given up and great run blocking...

Not only didn't one get in the game... they probably are going to be talked up for the next two weeks as the only way to go and they still have no live snaps among them. Awesome job...

Maybe next time?
