CJ Mosley, ILB: +6.1

Breakdown: Possibly a coming of age game for Mosley? The former Alabama linebacker put in mixed outings in his first three games, but this was a phenomenal performance. A +6.1 grade for an inside .linebacker is outstanding. He predominantly stood out as a run defender, recording an impressive seven defensive stops in just 29 run snaps. As a pass rusher Mosley also recorded a batted pass and had a pressure negated by penalty. Finally in coverage he allowed 3-of-4 targets for 19 yards, only one of which resulted in a first down and that was deep into garbage time.

Signature Stat: Mosley is currently first amongst inside linebackers in Run Stop Percentage (14.9%) having recorded a league leading 14 defensive stops.

Bust. Alabama is a system D and their players are all beat up when they get to the NFL.

Interesting that they evaluate his strength as rush D when we took him off the field for Nico for 3 years on running downs

Mosley is great against the run, but so was Nico.

Another good stat for ya.

PFF has Mosley as the best ILB against the run so far?

Well he also leads ALL NFL defenders that aren't DBs in passes defended.

World was upside down a few weeks ago when Ro had a good cover grade and a bad run D grade, while CJ had a good run d grade and a bad coverage grade.

I think I saw where Bama had 3 of the top 5 rated ILB's on PFF

This is a bad class for ILBs too. Outside of Leo Lewis there really aren't any stud high school mlbs. We are having to resort to moving olbs inside and hoping for the best.

I feel u Chatta, but wasn't CJ technically an OLB coming out of HS?
