I will eat my crow and give props to this kid. He isn't the most gifted but he is tough and it appears he gives UT the best chance to win.

I hope he can stay healthy and finish strong. He made some really strong throws today and I almost shite a chicken when Peterman was in.

Okay, I'm going to go drink beer now. Have a good afternoon all.

So you don't agree with the shitting a chicken part??

Yeah man, I have to give credit where it is due. So much respect, he is doing the best (which has been pretty good) with what he has.

I didn't really shite a chicken, I was just incredibly angry

Now I know for sure if Worley gets hurt we don't stand a chance

I just want to know what we need to do in order to get Worley connecting more with North. Hopefully, having Von Pearson and/or Josh Smith back will do it. Worley's been tough as nails but I've been disappointed that we haven't been able to make North more of a factor.

It really seems like to me that teams are trying to take North out of the play and letting the others beat them. I noticed a lot of times yesterday that the safety of whichever side of the field Northis on would hover around, basically forcing Worley to go to the other side of the field.

I wish Baja would get creative with North and move him around to get touches like what Kiffin does with Cooper.

Yeah, I definitely think he's been getting blanketed. I certainly think that having Pearson/Smith back will really help.

I agree that it would be a good idea to get more creative getting him the ball, and I don't just mean jet sweeps. He is one of those guys that should have a required amount of quality touches per game.

I'm not one to bitch about assistants but it quickly becoming obvious to me that Baja needs to go, the play calling has been odd before and yesterday was just plain terrible. I'll probably make a whole separate thread about it before long

I'm with you on that. He is so wildy inconsistent...it's just maddening. Those first two drives yesterday were absolutely perfect. And then, for whatever reason, he goes away from what's working and tries to get cute. The second and third quarter play calling (outside of the 2 minute offense) was downright pathetic. Then suddenly in the 4th when we are down by two scores, he remembers what worked in the first place, goes back to it and BAM. We're shredding them again.

I rarely defend that dick with ears but I will say he deserves some credit for turning Worley into a pretty good QB.

Good QB coach. Jekyll and Hyde offensive coordinator.

I don't know... part of me thinks we're focused on the play calling because we were so close to winning but that play calling was also what put us so close to winning. If we'd come out and done poorly, we wouldn't be focused on the little things that went wrong (bad calls happen every game for every team) because we wouldn't be searching for how to get those 4 extra points to win the game. Instead we'd be bitching that we weren't talented enough yet and bemoaning the oline situation that Dooley so kindly gifted us.

I see what you are saying but I was bitching about the running for nothing on first down then putting us in 2nd and longs we couldn't afford as early as the beginning of the 2nd quarter FWIW

Idk why we didn't continue running the short passing game on first down until UGA stopped it
