If Blackson doesn't go offsides on fourth and one then Lockett doesn't even get the bobbled pass in the end zone and the 'lucky' narrative is dead.

Kids, don't jump on fourth and one.

Also, %^@#% Big XII refs.

Yeah, but the media and others every time Auburn plays, it's always 'let's look at all the ways the other team fricked up' instead of 'both teams screwed up a lot. Auburn won.' You can also say in those games that if Auburn hadn't stepped on their own feet in certain situations, it would have been a blowout. But they won't.

I rewatched the game and I feel better about NM passing. If the receivers make the easy catches the story is about his dominate performance.

No kidding. I is amazing how bad he is at it, with that arm strength. Just put some damn air under the ball, and let them run under it. If it is a little short, we will more than likely get a PI.

1. It was clearly stated that wind was gusting up to 15 mph on that field. And you want to put "air under the ball"?

2. One long pass was right off of Coates fingers. Since we were told after the game that Coates didn't play at 100%, maybe it was COATES fault he didn't make it under the throw?

3. If the WR catch the 5 passes they flat out DROPPED, NM throws for over 70%, over 300 yds, and 2 TDs.

Damn y'all some whiney lil mo-fo's.

Deep ball rants aside,

That fade to Duke for the TD was sweet

Was it? Some of us weren't able to hear the tv during the game. When you are consistently overthrowing your deep ball by more than a few yards, you need to put some air under it.

Don't believe it ever actually touched Coates at all.

Never denied any of this. I didn't once criticize anything besides his deep ball inaccuracies.

It is fact his deep ball has been terrible this year. He has been very inaccurate with it.

For some reason, he doesn't like it when anyone criticizes Marshall. It's very odd. He didn't have a very good game Thursday, but neither did any of the offense. With that said, Marshall will have to get his deep ball in check for AU to make a run.

Coates seemed to run at one speed on the entire deep routes. Can't tell if he is doing max speed the whole way, or if he is just unable to adjust and turn on the afterburners when the throw is a little long.

I am still waiting for Sammy to dive for a ball ONCE in his career.

Not sure it will ever happen.

I only saw it live but I don't remember him diving. Definitely could be wrong but I distinctly remember thinking "He just had the ball hit him in the hands and hsould have caught it"

Against Mizzou in the SECCG, in the EZ. Only one I recall that he caught.

Yea cause nobody ever gets better. If he's receivers could catch, he'd be a lot better.

Just like Reed was terrible at CB?

Or you want to leave that stone unturned? Because you love (or loved, past tense, since he's second on the team with 2 INTs and leads the team on pass breakups thru 3 games) to vocalize your disdain for him.

For that look at me crow thread you started a couple weeks ago, you sure don't like to take any of your own servings.

I think what he means is that Nick doesn't have the 'no spring camp/summer' excuse for not gelling with his receivers. I think we all expected a little more rhythm in the passing game by this point.

No matter. I still think we'll get better throughout the year, but Nick's deep ball woes may be a fact.
