I'll be surprised if it's not an ESPN night game. I think CBS is choosing between Auburn/LSU and undefeated Bama (#2/#3) vs. undefeated Ole Miss (#10/#11)for the 3:30 ET/2:30 CT.

Objectively, which would you choose?

Don't forget that Miss. State & Texas A&m play each other on 10/4 as well.....going to be a great day of football!

I think CBS takes bama. We may be on ESPN2 with State/A&M being the ESPN game. (both being Saturday night)

For the ratings I think they go with bama/ole miss for the undefeated top 10 matchup.

Probably would have been us if Moo State hadn't beat LSU

With the SEC network now in place, I am not sure of the new "pecking order" for Picking games

Since opening weekend, the SECN has been getting the lesser games, IMO. ESPN owns the SECN, so they are going to put the quality games on one of their Networks....it looks like that will be the case anyway.

We always know 2 Mondays or the Monday before the game. That format has not changed since the birth of the CBS/ESPN contract.

I just looked at the top 25 schedule. Nebraska/Mich St. is locked into being on ESPN or ESPN 2 on prime time. I think CBS takes Bama/Ole Miss this Monday and then ESPN waits to see what TAMU does with Arky before deciding their primetime game next Monday. If TAMU beats Arky we very well could be looking at an 11 AM kick on ESPN.

Nah, more likely the second or most likely, third game on sec network. The game will be more desirable than say uga vs. vandy and Florida vs. tennessee. I see very little chance of anything earlier than 3:00 kickoff but more likely night game.

If that was the pattern UT @ UGA this week would be on the SECN instead of 11 AM on ESPN. Based on that I think ESPN puts priority of 11 am games on ESPN over any on the SECN so either our game or the TAMU-Miss St game is likely to be 11 am on ESPN.

Yeah, I would be very shocked if a top 5 Auburn/top 20 LSU is an 11 a.m. kick. I still think it will be a night game. That game just has so much history/so many West implications. ESPN will want to hype that.
