I just made two bets with ALL of my modest Bovada balance on this game

1. Auburn -9.5 (-115)
2. Teaser for -2.5, over 58. (-130)

Tell me why I'm a genius! Keep your "home dogs on a Thursday night mistake, we're their Super Bowl, Whitehead is out" shite to yourself!

I would have just let it all right ride on AU.

In fact I would rather bet it all on AU -9.5 than betting it all on the lower teased total of 58.

I get that. But I went half on -9.5 and decided to get some action with my other half on the tease. Envisioning a shootout where we emerge on top.

I follow. I just hate teasers.

Also, not sure about our defense. And by not sure, I mean they may actually be pretty good this year and able to hold the score down.

I think this game will give us a pretty good indication of how good our defense is this year. Is it the D that got gashed by Arky the first half, or the one that shut them out in the second?

I'm not crazy about either one, to be honest... even though im predicting us to win by 10. Not having whitehead could be a big deal, and we're gonna give up points regardless.

Gotta feeling you're gonna be sweating this one out till the very end.

Au leads by 7 with the ball on the KSU 20 with two minutes to go. Gus runs a read option on 4th down to drain the clock instead of kicking the FG...Swoopin has to buy a new tv tomorrow.

That exact thing happened to me in USAF/Georgia State this past weekend. USAF went for it on 4th at their 20 to run game out rather than kicking FG to cover

I put almost 2 grand on the game lol. Ive been riding with auburn the past 10 games and I don't think the trend ends tonight. Course if we somehow slip up I will be going to the loan office.

Don't bet what you can't afford to lose. Eventually you will frick something up beyond your ability to get out if you keep doing that shite.

AU up 33-21 late. KSU kicks a field goal, and tries an onside kick. Au returns the kick to the KSU 5 before the returner goes down on his own. AU runs out the clock. Final score 33-24. Swoopin needs a new tv, but can't afford it.

That reminds me of when I bet on the AU vs Kentucky game in 2010. The spread was like -5 or -6 for Auburn. I thought we would win by a couple TDs. The game came down to the last drive and Cam drove it all the way to the 4 yard line then setup the field goal in the middle of the field and waited until the last second to call timeout to kick the field goal. The drive lasted the last 7-1/2 min. Auburn won by 3.

Teasers are where you get so many points, say 5 or 6 and you move the line in your favor on 2 or more games.

So if auburn is a 10 point fav, you can tease it down to -4. You have to pair it with another bet and hit both to win.

Teasers are sucker bets, in general. Bookies love em. You'd be better off just betting both games on their own.

The more points the more you increase your odds of winning and decrease the amount of winnings.

It's like a parlay but you can adjust the spreads up or down in your favor. A parlay would have more winnings for getting it right because your odds are less.

Teaser Example for AU-KST:
-2.5, over 58. (-130)
You can win $130 if you bet $100

Parlay Examplefor AU-KST:
-9.5, over 66
You can win $260 if you win $100

I lost a $1500 payout 8 team parlay in week one, granted I had little to nothing in the pot, still pisses me off though.

Bama fricked me on half a point.

8 game parlay is like throwing your money in the trash. You could have had a decent lunch with that $10 you lost!

I hit at least one a year, granted I place 3-4 of them a week most of the time. I've hit one 11 game parlay, granted it was years ago.

ETA: Plus I always have that $300 worth of forced meal plan money. I need a reason to walk my arse down to Panda Express and get take out.
