I just went through all our offensive plays from 2013 and here's how the stats pan out.
Coates- 6 dropped passes. He caught 42 passes so dropping 6 of 48 passes gives Sammie a dropped pass rate of 12.5% or 1 in every 8 passes.
Louis- 9 dropped passes. He caught 28 passes so dropping 9 of 37 passes gives Ric a dropped pass rate of 24.3% or 1 in nearly every 4 passes. 3 or 4 of Ric's drops were on those short swing passes.

Nah Marshall sucks as a passer

So Louis has stone hands and while Sammie seems to be improved, he needs to come up with the clutch catches for us. Nice work on the film study E.

Nice E, I was hoping that was what you were up to yesterday. I seemed to me that after the first pass against uGA where he let the ground knock it loose, that Sammie was pretty solid from there on.

I think the problem with Louis specifically is when he dropped the passes. Wasnt it Louis who dropped a pass very early in both the IB and NCG that would have been TDs?

With the sole exception of the UGA miracle, Ricardo Louis has hands of stone. In the SJSU game I think he dropped 3 at least.
Gimme Coates, Duke and MRay and dats enough.

Ricardo drooped the pooch kickoff against SJSU too. Almost a TO.

It does not take that long when somebody has all the games broken down by Offensive and Defensive plays for each game on youtube and in seperate videos for O and D. Combined with looking at AU's play by play sheets for each game and I can go straight to video and see why passes to certain WRs were incomplete.

I've seen some of those videos before. I didn't realize they had them for every game.

Great idea.
Do they have the videos for the Arky or SJS game yet?

I feel like Louis has been on the team for 10 years

quote:No. The guy who posted the 2013 breakdown videos posted them all at basically 1 time a month or 2 ago.

All QBs throw errant passes.
People obsess over their own QBs errant passes more (try a Carolina forum after a Cam overthrow sometime), but...
ALL QBS THROW ERRANT PASSES.
