All those matter, but total defense and yards per play are also vitally important when evaluating the quality of the defense.
All the major defensive stats are heavily inter-related anyway.
You can't judge any of them in a vacuum and you have to look at them all at once.

Somehow, when the game was 41-0 at the time it was called, I don't think the odds were in FAU's favor.

.5 quarters less. Well, except Florida (cancelled game) and Georgia/Auburn, which already have taken bye weeks.
Also scoring defense can still be misleading, as Defensive/Special Teams scoring plays are still counted in them.

More like 8:00 less minutes.
FAU had like 150 yards and 7 first downs, something tells me they weren't about to explode for a couple late garbage time TD's.

Yards allowed are a good measure too. Legit teams don't throw away points every time they put together a solid drive

Teams get stuffed on 4th down quite often instead of taking field goals. Does that qualify as "throwing away points"?

I've been really happy with our performance on 3rd down. Opposite of Dooley teams
