Having a discussion with two buddies. One is a big UF fan, one an average college football fan. Somehow got around to Kentucky players since 2000. The three of us could only come up with a handful of ones we remembered by name?

Woodyard, trevathan, Cobb, Tamme, Andre Woodson, Lorenzen , Couch?, Stevie Johnson.

I thought it was crazy that that's all we could come up with, as I'm a huge SEC fan. Maybe being an LSU fan, I don't know as much about Kentucky. But can y'all do a lot better without cheating?

The same could maybe even apply to Vanderbilt although they've been a tad more relevant recently which makes it easier for them.

Maybe you all can do a lot better and this is a dumb thread, but it has potential for Jared Lorenzen picks so it won't be 100% useless

:BasketballSchool:

You could play this game with every SEC school about the NBA except for Kentucky. Really the only one with a true NBA presence.

It's not just players in the NFL though. Anyone we could remember. Granted it's easier to remember people in the league now

Yep. As I recall he had two 100+ yard TD's against Florida in the Swamp in one game.

Jared Lorenzen says hello.

He threw for over 10,000 yards during his 4 years at UK.

Who was the UK player in the mid sixties named Lyons? Isnt he related to the recently departed Lyons? UK also had a qb named Bird in the mid 1960s (I think he was a qb) and of course I could go George Blanda on ya for kicks

UK had that tall 76'7" beast of a qb back in 1979 when yal beat us in the Swamp...cant remember his name now....memory battery low

I think you are talking about Dicky Lyons Sr, Roger Bird, and Derrick Ramsey. Good memory
