We are a quarter of the way through the season, grade your team's offense, defense, special teams, and overall.

Arkansas:

Offense: B+

Hell of a running game and offensive line. Brandon Allen is improved, but passing game isn't quite where it needs to be. Chaney calls a good game most of the time, but randomly goes into rantard mode for no good reason.

Defense: C+

We are slightly above average on defense, with potential to improve as the season progresses. We have some youngsters in the back 7, but they showed flashes of their potential yesterday against Tech. Still need to see them play another SEC team before knowing how good or bad this D really is.

Special teams: D

Our kickoffs aren't consistent and it seems like opposing teams are always in the verge of breaking a kickoff for a TD. The punt returner doesn't run up and catch the ball enough, and yesterday they turned the ball over. Our FG kicker has yet to be tested in a critical situation. We haven't busted a big one on KR or PR yet.

Overall: C+

Offense-A

Defense-A- (run defense has some kinks to work out but this could be the best secondary in our school's history. In 3 games they have 8 interceptions and two pick sixes)

Special Teams-B+

Overall- A-

I don't know about a D on special teams. Not that I think they've been impressive but not that hideous either (well I didn't watch the 2nd half of Nichols- maybe they sucked then?).

Offense: B+, they've moved the ball well, put up some points. Thompson isn't as efficient as Shaw but has put up some good numbers. Wilds actually had as many YPA as Gurley did last night but the RB production overall has been inconsistent thus far.

Defense: D+, but getting close to a low C. They still give up a ton of yards but they have steadily improved as the weeks have gone on. Should have a chance to continue that trend @Vandy. UGA started drives at the 4 and the 25 and only came away with 3 points so that is encouraging.

ST: A-. We're returning well, our punter is averaging about 7 more yards per punt than last season, we've blocked a FG, and Fry is still a solid FG kicker and we kick a lot of touchbacks.

A+?

You do know that means 100 out of 100, right?

LSU looks great on defense but even I know an A+ is reserved for the special defenses like 2011 LSU/bama

Lots of talent but very raw. Ask me again after MSU.

DJ Dean almost ran a punt back against Nicholls. He got run out of bounds inside the 10 after a long run.

Offense - A (when Sims is running it, it looks fluid. Only have had to punt three times in three games)

Defense- B- (Struggling on the sidelines, our corners cannot turn their heads. Also 0 interceptions this year.)

ST- A- (Kicking is better, punting has been good and infrequent, but return defense let up a TD)

Overall- A-

No it doesn't. Anything above a 95 on the +- system is an A+

Must be Miss. schools. It's 97 for most places. Or not used at all.

Ok fine. You're still being a homer. I've watched OM and they're D is good, but not A+ good.

Probably. Outside of our run defense I think we're pretty damn salty.

It was 97 where I'm from

I'll own that mistake

But OM still gets a B+ on D IMO

I've said it numerous times on this board

I think OM has a very real chance at winning the west
