We found some resemblance of a pass rush

Don't get it twisted, we don't have the type of pass rush we had b/w '09 and '13, I'm not saying that, but tonight we got pressure and were disruptive in uga's backfield.
Dixon and English both got a TFL and a Sack. Dixon even got a pass breakup on the tipped ball. This was Dixon's best game as a Gamecock that I recall. I'm curious to see how English can progress as he has the most upside out of anyone currently at DE. If he can improve his technique and get a stronger, he could be a force by the end of the season and especially going into next year.
On he official stat sheet, we weren't credited with any QBH's, but there were several times Mason had to rush the throws or scramble a little. We had guys coming all night, our DL rotation was solid, I didn't see any of our guys gassed.

To add to that Skai Moore was on Gurley or right at him everytime he touched the ball, it was almost as if it was his personal vendetta to stop gurley. Was very impressed with that young man's individual effort.
Also Surrat showed great leadership and was leading by example. Another thing we had been lacking this year, an emotional leader that takes its personal when they get torched.

Yeah as vulnerable as our defense was in those first two games, and how vulnerable they still are, you'll rarely find teams that are as pass happy and as quick as the A&M / ECU offenses.. having them back to back was a nightmare.

We also recorded 7 QB Hurries against ECU, for the most of those we've had in years, including those '09 thru '13 seasons. Hopefully we continue to improve game by game, and have a struggling Vanderbilt next on our schedule to further improve...
