It's lame. I'm surprised they kept the tradition going after Mr. Two Bits didn't want to do it anymore.

It is pretty lame, but it's tradition. It takes 5 seconds to do it, and our big thing is to do it once before the game starts. Mr. 2 Bits used to travel around the stadium back in the day doing it periodically, but I'm not sure if we really do it throughout the game anymore. It's not like it's performed 1,000,000,000 times like RockyTop where it just becomes ridiculous. And it's not nearly as gay as waving around pom-poms all game long like 95% of the other SEC schools.
