As of now, we will playing in some pretty big games: Florida, @Ole Miss (biggest home game in over a decade for them), A&M, @LSU, and Auburn (Probably for the West). Plus, I don't think @Tennessee & MSU will be walks in the park. Add to that the SECCG and two playoff games on top of that.

Relative to the last few years where we can kind of coast through the middle part of our schedule in order to gear up for the November finish, this year is lining up to be quite the gauntlet. We very well could be better than every single team on our schedule, but as we learned in the past...sometimes a team can just catch us at the right moment during a tough stretch of games.

Could be one hell of a season if we make it through unscathed.

Definitely some tough games. I do like how it lines up though.

Starts off easier.

Bye weeks before two toughest road games. Byes are also perfectly spaced so we have 4 games, bye, four games, bye, four games. I like that.

Toughest games kind of spread out as much as possible in my opinion (although Tennessee right after A&M and MSU right after LSU both kind of worry me as let down games).

We play in the premier conference in America! I love it, this is why we are who we are.

But how does over priced concessions and 2 qB's fit into all of that?

Florida will be top 25 when we play them and, likely, at end of year.

Ole Miss and LSU could both be top 15 teams.

TAMU & AU will be top 10 teams.

UGA (likely opponent if we make SECCG) will be top 10.

You're looking at 6 Top 25 teams before you even play the first playoff game. An SEC team winning it all is incredibly impressive. If FSU wins it again they may do so playing only 3-4 top 25 teams all year (including playoffs)

Which is why FSU will never leave the ACC. Wins > Money.

Couldn't have asked for a better set up

I am much more concerned about MSU than UT. We always seem to come out flat against them.

If FSU continues to win like they are doing currently which based on their history is totally plausible, then it will be wins+money rather than wins>money.

This schedule has kept me up at night worrying. No cupcake SEC teams for us this year.

Florida, Auburn, LSU, TAMU should be tough games. I don't think Ole Miss or Miss St will be as long as our QBs don't throw a lot of picks. Tennessee I will get a better feel for after OU.

If you want to see a Brutal schedule check out Notre Dames.

There is a weird line between expecting to beat the shite out of everyone on the schedule, and knowing that there will be multiple tough games.

On one hand, its obviously really awesome beating the shite out of everyone, BUT

I look at this stretch: UF>OM>ARK>TAMU>UT>LSU>MSU and I get really pumped about how exciting many(most?) of those games are going to be. I'm ready to see our guys FIGHT.

Bumping this thread.

We looked really good Saturday and looking at our schedule, we are a better team than everyone else we will play. That said, October is as tough as I remember. IMO, Arkansas & UT won't be games where we can just roll our helmets on the field and expect to win. The good thing is that this team doesn't seem like our last few teams. We seem more motivated and don't have the pressure that we've had to deal with the last few years. Also, having an offense with this kind of production will help us against some of these upcoming spread teams.

Having said that, while the LSU game seems pretty manageable at the moment, MSU looks a little tougher. As I said in the OP, this could very well be the most exciting year under Saban if we do what we're supposed to do.

10/4 @Ole Miss
10/11 @Arkansas
10/18 Texas A&M
10/25 @Tennessee
11/1 Open
11/8 @LSU
11/15 Mississippi State
11/22 Western Carolina(HC)
11/29 Auburn

That MSU game after the LSU game is looking awfully tricky right now. Alabama / LSU is always a battle and there is some precedent for Alabama being flat the week after the LSU game. Glad the MSU game is in Tuscaloosa.

That's a tough slate ahead, outside of WCU there's not an easy win left. Arkansas and UT are both improved, as are OM and MSU and AU and LSU are always brutal games. Then you throw in TAMU who may be the toughest challenge left, and wow. We could be a really good team and finish 9-3 if we don't get the bounces. Have to bring our A game every week from this point forward.
