Boom vs. UK - just saw a stat that I didn't realize

UF has outscored UK 110-17 during Muschamp's brief tenure in Gainesville.
This is one of the reasons I'm not worried about the game. Well, that and it's a night, in the Swamp with a very good D, a what seems to be an improving offense, better special teams, etc...
Oh, and that stat was produced by 3 of the worst offenses we've ever fielded in the modern era.

100 of those points were scored by Trey Burton.
Good thing Clay Burton is stepping up to carry on the family tradition.

Kentucky accepts defeat whenever they step onto the field when they play you guys. Same thing with Ole Miss and Alabama. 47-9-2 and a winning streak that goes back to 2003? I know they didn't play every year but that's still pathetic.
UF wins big along the lines 38-7

This Kentucky Wildcat team looks a little more focused and full of grit.
I see a tight game for the 1st half and then UF pulling away starting either halfway through the 3rd quarter or early in the 4th
I'm going with 41 - 24 Gators, with UF leading at halftime by 24 - 17.

You think they will score more against UF at night in the swamp than they did at home against OH?

All Ole Miss all the time.

This UK team looks improved over the past couple of years, but UF still blows them out in the Swamp. If it was in Lexington, there might be a small glimmer of hope for the big upset.

I think that this game will look a lot like the AU v Arky game
Tight and competitive for 2 1/2 quarters and UF pulling away with superior talent in the final stretch

Which matches the 3 worst years of UK football in the modern era. Racking up points under Joker teams is like kicking puppies or stealing ice cream from little girls. Stats are only really useful when viewed in proper context.

You have my blessing to use any context you desire about this particular stat.
3 of the worst teams for each school. That's fine.

Again, stats must be tempered by actual events
1st half played in sunny weather
UK 17
OH 00
2nd half played in downpour
UK 03
OH 03
Both FG's were scored in the 3rd quarter, and neither team scored in the 4th. If you look at the actual numbers UK dominated in both time of possession (38:26 to 21:34) and total yards (404 to 223) and with better weather in the second half may have scored some more points.

The Ole Miss players accept defeat. Their fans scream about the 14 close plays that could have gone their way and explain away the scoreline.

This made me chuckle because it is supposed to rain on Saturday.

Yeah, running up the score on Joker Phillips is really impressive.
