What do you guys think? I'm leaning towards taking the over.

I see us scoring 52-56 or so and I think our backup defense will allow them to end up with 17-21. At least that's what I hope since I took the over.

I'm thinking we will really want to let Marshall loose and give him some time running the offense since he basically only played a quarter last week. Also, probably more passing to give him and the receivers a chance to get on the same page in game situations before going to K St.

Factor in that when our backup QB comes in we won't miss a beat in the passing game and I think we will score at will until late in the 4th when we bring in the 3rd string and even then guys like Barber are going to be hungry.

If we don't get into the 50s I'll be surprised.

I'll go with a score around 49-14.

Take AU to cover and leave the total alone. It is about right and you are talking a coin flip that you are paying 5% on.

Are you guys in the 40s expecting SJSU to stop us or that Gus will call off the dogs early?

Gus will just run the read option in the 4th every down to bleed the clcok.

I think we score on about every possession for a while and we get lots of possessions with the D getting stops.

Then Gus puts in Wallace later in the game and trys to keep the score down by run, run, run, and nothing fancy.

Ex: Nick puts up 4 TDs on first 5 possessions. Johnson comes in and puts up a couple of more and we maybe get 1 last TD in the 4th for the 49.

Also figure 56 is more likely than 42. But also think it is possible we hold them under 14.

So I think the total is fine in the mid 60's and like our chances of covering 31.

Most likely follow the same gameplan as FAU last year.

38-7 at halftime
45-10 end of 3rd
45-10 final

This isn't Furman or Chattanooga.

San Jose St. won't roll over. They beat an 8 win Colorado St. team last year and an 8 win UNLV. They held their own against Stanford for the majority of 3 qtrs, but eventially fell 34-14.

In 2012 San Jose went 11-2 losing to Stanford 20-17.

We should win convincingly but with our defense I wouldn't be surprised to see them in the game for at least 2 or 3 qtrs.

I think we might go over just because I doubt we'll slow up on offense until the mid 4th quarter or so. I definitely think we'll cover.

They'll let Marshall throw the ball a good bit in the first half, and if he does well, we'll score quickly and a lot. Put JJ in for the second half and we'll run the ball a ton with Barber and Thomas and let him work on his reads for the option, then let Wallace come in and clean up in the 4th quarter. I can see us scoring 35 in the first half and maybe 21 or so in the second. They may score 14-20ish. San Jose St likes to play fast too, so if we can get them on some 3 and outs and get the ball right back, there will be a lot of chances to score.

That was the results of last years FAU game. D1 school. Did you not read the sentence before the numbers?

FAU finished 6-6 last year same as SJSU. Lost close ones to 10 win Rice, 8 win MTSU, & 10 win Marshall. Beat USF, 7 win Tulane.

Why do people always cherry pick certain games to try and make a point?

They also got smoked by Minnesota 43-24, Utah State 40-12 (23-6 @ half), squeezed out a win over Wyoming (who put up 599 yards of offense on the Spartans and led for 3/4's of the game), and lost by 20+ points to a 4 win Nevada team (SJSU trailed the entire game, averaged 1.9 ypc, and was 30% on 3rd downs).

Oh yeah, and Navy ran for 478 yards on them at 7 yards a pop. Their best performance of the year.

In 2012 Auburn went 3-9 and didn't win an SEC game, including a 17 point loss to John L. Smith and squeaked by LaMO.
