Very factual and true. The resources needed to stage a game is beyond most folks comprehension.

Now...I thought the game should have continued after the kickoff...but a strike of lightning caused that to be suspended and it was late.

Very frustrating. I do think the game will be rescheduled...but we will see. There have been a few games suspended in the past because of hurricanes...the 1964 gamne with LSU in red stick was suspended and reschedule for end of the season...which cost the Gators a bowl game..they beat LSU but bowl bids had already been awarded and bowl committees thought UF would end up 6-4 and lose to LSU...but UF was 7-3 and the best team in the country not invited to a bowl. This was back in the dark ages before bowls were on every street corner and a bowl bid was a big deal.

UF came close to suspending the the Univ of NJ @ Coral Gables in 1963 after John F. Kennedys death. Remember that he was shot on a Friday afternoon and the Gators were scheduled to play the ibis bunch down there on Nov 23...the nation was reeling from shock and it was total chaos....game went on though. A lot of games were cancelled around the country.

When it comes to UF, money is nothing. let the boys play ball. They've waited all year to prove themselves and then get denied because of the weather is crazy. It was Labor Day weekend. It's not like the student-athletes had anywhere to be monday morning.

OK. I'll allow at as long as you don't go all hyper liberal on us like a few of the more naive Gators here.

Thanks. I was just curious if that's why they weren't rescheduling. I guess you guys have enough money that you don't have to worry about it

FSU would have had to take a loan. We are fine with money.
