How many false start penalties last night, A&M compared to Ole Miss?

Sometimes you can tell who has the better head coach in the details.

Frankly, as an LSU fan, last night was frightening. That in Columbia was a finely-tuned blitzkrieg.

We had 4 PI's on balls that we should have been able to defend.

Once Ole Miss changed snap counts, we had 0. We had 9 on our original. Boise players were shouting "shift" at precise times and our O-line was jumping every time. Went to a silent count and 0.

Here's a detail. Freeze has a win against LSU. GFY Rex. 27-24.

OM had 7 maybe 8. I think 6 came in the first half.

Apparently we were trying to use a first sound cadence and kept jumping when Boise's defensive line would call out shifts.

Defensive penalties from a sense of aggression are a different animal than mindless offensive formation and snap count ones.

Yeah it was moreso just a random, coincidental event and not some overriding systemic coaching issue.

Once the adjustment was made, everything worked out ok.

It was comforting to see them adjust at half-time and cut back on the penalties in the 2nd half.

It was disheartening. I thought A&M was going to be terrible. They are legit.

Right. The mindless offensive snap count ones can easily be corrected.
