I found myself more comfortable and at ease with his style of QB play vs JFF.

I had said that maybe JFF is a better player, but once he leaves it will make A&M a better team.

I think Hill extended plays long enough and really let the RBs and WRs get open in that extra time. JFF would likely have tucked an run.

As an aside, I hope they were just being cautious wiht Cam Clear. He was bringing it as TE.

Tell you what. Let the kid play a full season and guess what? You will have the entire season to compare. Not just 1 game.

He looked very sharp and well prepared. I'm going to withhold judgement though until I see him face some adversity.

This but I don't blame the ags for their excitement- he looked great.

adversity???

1st game as starter, away, against an SECE leader.

there was enough pressure going in.

little to no pressure during the game though.

Its like, when A&M lined up in that formation, USC just pulled their pants down.

I kept saying it was a decoy play, but they kept doing it.

I imagine once a team shows proficiency in stopping it we wont do it a billion times a game.

That might rattle some kids, or his 1st Int, or being down by two scores.

It all depends on the kid.

Or what if his WR's have a bad day and drop all his passes. Will he lose it?

That type of thing.

Manziel thrived on chaos. While he obviously was able to succeed on that, I imagine it was harder for many in the system to also thrive. As good as Evans was, I hate to imagine what he would have done with a QB similar to what we saw last night. The thing about chaos is, you never know if it's going to result in a 15 yard gain or loss, even if it results in a gain nearly every time. Hill is a cool cat, or was last night, and throws a good ball. Should be a fun year for y'all.
