- I kinda wanna see us in just one random gimme game to go balls to the wall crazy and just air it out to all this talent.

- A&M is gonna be a tough game. I've been buying into what Saban has said about Jones/Sylve, but I'm hoping if they slip up early he gives guys like TB a chance. Experience means a lot, but with these types of offenses experience doesn't mean shite. You have to have the better athletes, and you have to put them in man. Guys like Eddie Jackson and Tony Brown should be able to cover up most guys one on one. Making things complex with all the zones and calls will hurt more than it will help.

- We won't have a QB putting up Kenny Hill numbers, but some of what A&M did will be something we do when you talk about getting playmakers in space. We won't put up numbers like that though.

- Saban has to let the front 7 go at QBs. No point in doing anything other than that. Let them rush. Just let them rush. Nothing else too it. Let them rush or we lose to teams like A&M.

- I'm worried Trickett is going to find a stroke of competence and WVU's offense is going to make our D look bad.

This. I have the strangest feeling that we are going to look like shite on Saturday. Hope I am wrong.

West Virginia is as good a gauge as any when it comes to defending against an Air Raid offense.

If we struggle on Saturday then the A&M game could be ugly.

If we line up and our corners are playing off the receivers I'm gonna lose my shite before the ball is even snapped.

and they tackled horribly ... would not have won them the game, but it would've been closer ...

They also completely abandoned the run.

One thing I forgot in the OP, I'd love it if Saban decided it was time to make teams stop us instead of just waiting around and letting up.

Boise State is laying the blue print to beat Ole Miss. Press their WRs, rush with 4 and dare Wallace to beat you.

Well get ready because you know its going to happen. Didn't LSU give us the blueprint to beat Aggy in 2012 and we did the exact opposite?

We didn't have the type of players to do it. Guys like Raashan Evens, A'Shawn, Pettway, and Hand are going to be huge against a team like A&M imo.

LSU's been able to get pressure with their DL and we haven't. Our guys spent more time containing Manziel than they did rushing him.

I disagree ...I think its been the way we defend against those teams . I agree we have upgraded the rush and added speed . I just dont buy that we didnt have the personnel to stop spread teams.

Which defensive lineman have we had the past 2 seasons was a great pass rusher?

Our weakness at the 2nd corner position hasn't helped

So very true. If Cyrus is getting destroyed and we don't put in TB, i'm done. I swear I am done!

I feel the complete opposite. I think our boys watching a.m. tonight might've lit a fire under them. They know the kind of offensive firepower that they're going to see this year, and want to set a tone with some rock solid D against the mountaineers.

I'm hoping that Cyrus Jones really has improved, but I am very hesitant. I'll be pissed if he has another TAMU 2013 type game

I really think WV is about to get wrecked and I mean wrecked hard even with our QB "issues".

That may be the formula to beat them if they returned the same Oline and were a threat. But they aren't a threat. Their oline is shite. The way to beat Ole Miss this season is to put up 24 points. Don't turn the ball over inside your 40, don't give them kick returns. Otherwise that shitty offense isn't going to put up many points until their Oline gets a hell of a lot better.

Enjoyed watching their defense smashing the short routes though. That was the highlight of the game.

One thing the A&M game proved to me is that we are no longer in a conference where we can say it doesn't matter who the QB is. We have to get production out of that position if we want to win a title. This isn't 2008 or 2011. A team has to put up points in addition to playing great defense.

The spread offenses are fun to watch and at times, make the pro-style seem archaic and slow. That said, a good DL is a key to stopping them. An elite pass rush disrupts the timing and forces plays to go off script.

the key is clogging the middle - between the tackles on first down do not give them 4 5 yds...that is why cody so great....shut that mid down with ng dt's and all backers cheat to outside and destroy outside and wr screens
