Download the UBER App, it is GREAT.... You need a ride, it will give you the closest drivers and their individual rankings... Depending on the time of day/night and how far you to it is charged to your credit card. Much Better than a DUI...

Use it in ATL anytime I plan on drinking.

Yeah, Uber is awesome. It's probably half the price of a taxi, and I know for sure if I were still in Auburn, this is how I'd get to Supper Club.

I bet they'd take you out to Creekside and the various other complexes way off campus for probably around $8.

Is it random people, or drivers paid by that company? I don't want to be taken out to a dirt road and killed.

Why?

There is already a free ride out there.

They are hired by the company. There have been some issues with the drivers in the cities that have already implemented it.

Overall not a bad service. Not worth the polar reactions people have to it though. Some see it as the devil, and some see it as the Messiah. I don't get it.

I know, but its not always available and there's the problem of getting home especially if you stay there until close.

It always ran until close when I was there. Has that changed?

What types of problems have been occurring? I've used the service often, and the drivers are always speaking highly of Uber as a company (they wouldn't do it otherwise).

Of course taxi companies don't like it because they're losing business, but not enough to go out of business.

They've had harassment and sexual abuse lawsuits in a lot of the cities that they operate in.

I haven't personally had any issues with them, but I know people who have. Not saying cabs are any better, but Uber isn't some ultimate white knight that they get made out to be by some (not saying you are doing this).

Only thing I've ever heard is sometimes people are mistakenly double charged but if you tell them, they'll refund you and give you a free ride or two

Y'all are missing out if you don't take advantage of Uber. It's fricking awesome. It's cheap as frick, convenient, cash free, and much easier than getting a taxi. Any city that has uber, I'll never even consider getting a taxi again.
