The season is finally here. Lots of question marks but lots of optimism as well. Can't wait for tonight.

Anchor Down!
Beat Temple!

Hell yeah! It's time to start a season of animal cruelty!

Wish I was in Nashville, but I'm just glad it's on national tv so I don't have to stream it on shitty internet.

Anchor down! We can't let a team with "wet het" as their season motto beat us

Whelp, not what I was expecting either.

Looking like a return to the pre-bobby johnson era.

What the frick is this? We are WAY better than this talent-wise. Mason better straighten this shite back out at halftime. Patton needs to be in the game. He was not great...but he was not terrible for an opening game where his line was off. Need to use Robinette in some option looks to get Webb and Kimbrow in space. Hell, I'd like to see Rivers at this point to give us a physical runner.

Defensively, we need to be more aggressive. We have been laying back too much and letting Temple complete easy stuff underneath. Get in their faces and put some pressure on them.

This game is ALL fundamental mistakes. Vandy is a fricking turnover festival tonight. Temple is outplaying and outcoaching. Vandy has the talent edge.

Mason is bordering on Orgeron territory here.

My prediction came true that we will see all 3 QB's this season. I was kinda hopipng it wouldn't happen in the first game.

fricking first pass for Mcrary is a fricking interception. fricking frick frick.

Gotta say Rivers has looked the best so far, but we've only seen one pass by Mcrary. At least it was completed?

I expected to see at least 2 tonight. I figured it would be once we got way out ahead though, not because we were scrambling for a "spark". I've just gotten numb at this point.

Mason was right about Mcrary - he's providing a spark.......to the temple defense.

Yep, Johnny is definitely not ready. I still think Patton should be the guy. The offense has been bad but it's not on Patton or Stephen. The line was pitiful, and we had no power running threat. Out wide, that is a work in progress but not hopeless. Sims should not field another punt or kickoff this season. And it's time for some fricking ball-security drills.

They need to do the one from the movie "the program" where they duct taped the ball to the running back's hand for an entire week.

I still think Mason can be great. Our defense actually played pretty damn well, I thought, until they were completely demoralized by the crappy offense. I disagreed with the QB changes. That was stupid.

Absolutely. If Patton stays in, the offense clicks eventually. Hell, if Rivers stays in it probably would have. McCrary was a young guy put in a very bad situation and tried to force things.

Defense only allowed 207 passing. We did allow 144 on the ground though. Defense was clearly exhausted at the end of the game.

I thought Mason looked completely out of his depth. I hope I am wrong, but the look in his eyes indicated a lack of comprehension ala Rod Dowhower...
