Maybe this is natural, but I'm getting uneasy

Everyone is talking about us blowing out Boise State tomorrow night. This has me worried and halfway expecting a letdown. We haven't been good three years in a row since Eli was our quarterback. Please tell me I'm not the only one thinking like this.

I'm an Ole Miss fan. I will always expect that if something can go wrong, it will.

Was listening to the radio and two guys were talking about the game. One was an Ole Miss fan.

He was talking about how he isn't a glass half full or half empty guy. He is the "someone drank my half type fan."

Sounds like a lot of y'all.

I felt the same way last week for a day or two... The 10 point spread and the fact that it's basically a home game for us has me feeling much better... I think we win.. Dont care by how much... Just want everyone to be healthy headed to Nashville.

We weren't necessarily good in 12/13 nor 01/02 for that matter. Quit being a pussy and get excited. Rebel football is back

Uh, who said I'm not excited? And being nervous before a season opener doesn't make me a pussy

Same here.

I just got a nice job offer tonight after weeks of expecting a denial call. It's in my blood to expect the worst and hope for the best

I'm just as guilty of having a pessimistic outlook and pulling the WAOM card, but the fact of the matter is Ole Miss has never fielded this much talent nor had this type of buzz in my lifetime. Sure, you could look at the '09 squad, but the collapse was apparent if anyone took a minute to take off the red and blue shades. Am I claiming double digit wins and major bowl implications? Absolutely not. What I will say is that it's a new era of Ole Miss football and maybe it's time to take a different approach instead of expecting a train wreck.

FWIW, I think that spread is spot on and expecting a 10-14 point victory

Every day I've been feeling more and more confident that we are going to prison rape them.

I try to be objective but I normaly tilt towards the pessimistic side of things. However, I feel like we have this game wrapped by halftime. I really think it's going to be ugly. Hearing their beat writer say that he expects an ole miss blow out helps too.

I feel like we will somehow keep them in the game at least until the 3rd quarter.

Is that in an article that can be linked?

I feel like we will too. That's why I'm a bit uneasy because anytime I feel like that the opposite happens

I've had a pretty good feel for what we will do the last couple of seasons. I called beating State by two + TDs in '12 and called beating LSU last year even after the injuries. We'll see soon enough either way

If it makes you sleep easier, all Boise State fans I've fun into have zero expectations to win. Asked one who says he goes to all away games why, his response was they were awful on the lines and their QB was unproven. He did say it was mainly their OL he was worried about because our DL wasn't very good. I lol'd

They have one of the most inexperienced offensive lines in the country. It's going to get ugly in a hurry.

I saw somewhere(maybe here) where Boise only has 44 starts combined along both lines. Compared to 135 for OM.

In before your sidewalk fans blasting you for saying this acting like your mentality actually has an effect on the teams performance.

Ole Miss wins 34-17.
