Temple was decent a few years ago, but I am not sure what level they are on these days. With Vanderbilt breaking in a new coach and style, could this game be interesting?

Wasn't Al Golden the coach of temple back then? Since he left, they haven't been good. I think Vandy wins on talent

Temple 31 Vandy 14
Vandy joins UK at the bottom of the barrel.

Temple has a young QB that looked good in his 7 starts last year and they slowly got better even though they kept losing but if Vandy loses to them they may as well give up once SEC play starts.

No. Vandy will have to truly self-destruct and/or be beyond terrible for them to lose any of their OOCs. They finally used their smarts and started scheduling auto wins. (They didn't always do that and it hurt them).

ETA: It could be interesting since there's a chance the very early rough spots with a new system will enable Temple to compete this game.

PJ Walker is a very good Soph QB and presents some challenges no doubt. Temple has 2 good RB returning and but one is apparently hurt and out for the game in Zaire Williams. They lost their top 2 WRs from last years team and are replacing 4/5 offensive linemen. While Walker is very good its a pretty green group of players around him in some critical spots.

On D their biggest weakness appears to be the secondary with 4 new starters 1 true freshman, possibly 2 & a transfer from VA Tech at S. Front 4 is relatively small but they do have a decent LB corps.

I'm going to be very disappointed if VU is not able to control the game on the ground and be able to set up big plays in the passing game. Defense needs to be ready because though the parts around him may be inexperienced Walker is pretty dang good.

I think VU's advantages in the OL and Front 7 will wear Temple down.
