According to whatever "talent" metrics the stats gurus are using for the company detailed in this article (which is about a lot of different neat stuff)

https://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/11382331/stats-company-sportsource-analytics-inform-college-football-playoff-selection-committee-decisions

Since Alabama's current run began in 2008, according to them Alabama has had the team with superior overall talent every single game except two, both of those being in 2008 (@ UGA, a win, and vs. Florida in the SEC Championship, a loss).

According to them the past 5 seasons Alabama has had the more talented team than their opponents in every single game.

I guess as it turns out 3 national championships was actually underperforming. I has a sad now.

This is why Spurrier was right to imply Saban is a great recruiter, but just an average football coach.

What! Don't tell me that les miles won because he usually had superior talent too. That would destroy my fragile world.
