Sat, Aug 30 vs Southern Miss W

Sat, Sept 6 vs UAB W

Sat, Sept 13 @South Alabama W

Sat, Sept 20 @#13 LSU W

Sat, Oct 4 vs #21 Texas A&M W

Sat, Oct 11 vs #6 Auburn L

Sat, Oct 25 @Kentucky W

Sat, Nov 1 vs Arkansas W

Sat, Nov 8 vs UT Martin W

Sat, Nov 15 @ #2 Alabama L

Sat, Nov 22 vs Vanderbilt W

Sat, Nov 29 @#18 Ole Miss L

9-3, 5-3, our best SEC record in forever. I'm pretty torn on AU or LSU being our big upset. However, I'm not really convinced LSU will end up being marked as an upset, see Florida 2010.

I'm sure that we will lose a couple, but there is not one game that I'm going to for sure say "L"

Alabama is about the only one that I'm really close to conceding.

We have 7 games (USM, UAB, South Alabama, Kentucky, Arkansas, UT Martin, Vanderbilt) that Muffin should definitely win.

2 games that I am going to chalk up as an auto-loss (Auburn, Alabama).

That leaves 3 toss ups (Ole Miss, LSU, Texas A&M). We need to win 2 out of 3 of these toss ups or else I will consider it a disappointing season.

Yeah, 8-4, 4-4 is not going to excite me. Been there. I want to see an upset, a final ranking in the polls, and a winning SEC record. I'd rather break our streak vs. LSU or take down a top 5 AU team than win the Egg Bowl. History has shown it doesn't affect recruiting much and I don't think they'll beat Dak and Chris Jones lead team in Starkville next year.

auto-loss Auburn

I would almost guarantee that Auburn is not an auto-loss, but I'm not really sure what the parameters of that would be

As far as pre-season expectations go I feel like people are underrating Auburn a bit. Yeah Auburn had some big breaks last year, but unless that offense has been figured out they should be the favorites to win the West.

I feel like A&M has the potential to have a really disappointing season.

If we can beat LSU I will feel really good about the chances against A&M.

I think they will be about the same team as they were last year.

Yes, they were very good, I'm not trying to take anything away from them but you have to think that there's no way they get the bounces over and over like they did last year. 4 4th Quarter comebacks? I just don't think they can replicate that again.

You could definitely be right. I just think that offense is scary...but maybe it gets figured out a bit by the DC's.

I leave the professional analysis up to Coach34.

It took every bit of effort for the GOAT 2010 team to beat us in Starkville. They'll be better than last year, 5 wins or so, but we'll beat them by 10-14 points, IMO.

We SHOULD win, but there is a lot of football in between now and then.

I think this is the year Dan gets a #SignatureWin (or two) but at the cost of a upset (Kentucky also scares me)

Yeah, Kentucky could be dangerous. We should still beat them this season...next season may be a problem.

I'm actually pretty confident in Muffin in those situations, I think had we faced UK last year in November we would have beat the shite out of them. We do well against teams we should win against, even if it's close.
