Do you think you would be a good play-caller?

Lets say, for whatever reason, your favortie team decided to hire you as their next playcaller. You dont have to coach any of the players during practice. All you're tasked with doing is studying the playbook and making the decisions during the game. Do you think you could hold your own or is it harder than it looks?

Inside zone to Yeldon/Henry

Outside zone to Drake

Throw deep to Cooper

Throw screen to Cooper

Yeah I think I can do as good of a job as Nussmeier did, based off of that.

I would just run "Da Bomb" over and over again. If it doesn't work you can always just run it

I did pretty good in flag football intramurals. I doubt it is much different.

I think I'd be about a 3 on a scale of one to ten. And that's with my huge ego factored in.

If you were afforded the opportunity to study a few years under a professional OC I'd be willing to bet reasonably intelligent and strategy minded persons could do a fair job. It's not exactly quantum physics. I mean, Stud was LSU's OC for awhile...

No. I am a fan. I'm sure most of the SEC Rant would be awesome at it though. I expect lots of honest responses.

Football is a simple game. I think coordinators out think themselves a lot. Play calling isn't as hard as some of you are making it out to be. It's the drawing up of the plays that takes some creativity.
