Why is the SEC west so much better than the SEC east at football?

It is a product of better coaching, better facilities, better players, what? Maybe a combination of all three?

It is all about cycles. It was a complete reversal in the 90's. It seemed like the East was always deeper than the West in those years. Also, "better" is quite a subjective term really.

Favorable scheduling for certain West teams and not for others.

What happened the last time Bama played one of the top 3 for the east in the regular season?

better teams

East is so inconsistent and only have two good teams

USCe
UGA

until Florida and Tenn rise back up they will still be way below the SEC

West has LSU Bama and Auburn leading the way, all 3 are better programs than USCe and Georgia is close behind the 3

5 sec championships in a row for the west is more than "a little luck". Has been outright dominance.

Maybe it's cyclical? Like I believe they're tied in the SECCG. Why did the west suck so much in the late 90's/early 00's. Shitty coaches and facilities?

The SEC East is boring, rusted, and decaying. It isn't coming back because there isn't the population or talent-base that exists in the SEC West. People think of the SEC, they think of Alabama, Auburn, LSU. Nobody thinks of South Carolina.

Phil Fulmer had a monolopy on all the donuts and crispy cremes in the south. Linemen in the SECW were malnurished as a result.

Thank God a Bama fan finally said it. Now everyone else here gets to never hear about the 45 past National Titles ever again.

Georgia may have a case, but they get raided worse than Florida. Not enough talent in the East to go around.
