Closest you've ever come to a Hole in One?

Came relatively close this evening. Not really close enough to say it almost went in.
Par 3, 140. My distance was right but it was off line. Lucky bounce put it right on line with the cup. Trickled right beside and stopped 7 feet past.
My closest: Par 4, 251. Drive felt super clean and put it 4.5 feet from the cup.
As you can tell, I really haven't actually come close. It's up near the top of my bucket list though.

I got the ball on the green at a Par 3 one time.

Have hit it inside a foot multiple times. Have hit the stick multiple times. Closest I ever came was playing on a Monday at a country club and they had the pins out because they were top dressing the greens. Ball has on the cusp of the hole. Had no idea where the hole was until I got up on the green though.

I got one on a par 3 when I was 13 years old. A 75 yard chip shot over a pond straight onto the green. Rolled about 10 feet or so into the cup.

Had one bounce out of the cup about 6 years ago (last time I was playing regularly). Damn thing bounced off the green and after a chip on and a two put I fuggin bogeyed

I have hit a hole in one. Pretty amazing feeling.

I've had multiple within a foot on par 3''s. Closest was this spring on a 150 yarder. Hit the pin, got up to the green and the ball was about 2 feet in front of the pin. It left a half divot on the edge of the cup. I guess it ran straight down the pin, hit the edge and shot back. Was awesome and devastating all at once.

I have one 156 yds 6 iron 14 years old. 26 years ago. Haven't been close since. I had witnesses and got a plaque

Hit the pin and stopped 6 inches from the hole. Par 3 of course. Used my 7 iron and laid off the muscle. I chipped in two birdies that day also.
I have never played anywhere near as good as I did that day.

I've hit the pin a few times, on par 3s, but never had one plop in. I've won closest to the pin several times in various tournies.
I've had two eagles though, both from over 200 yards out and both with a 3 wood.
I've witnessed a hole in one in my foursome before. We looked everywhere thinking the ball had dribbled off the back of the green before finally finding it in the cup.

I put the ball a finger tip away from the hole on a par 3

I was playing in a tournament and there were 2 groups stacked up on a long par three 215 yds...
It was one of those win a Cadillac if you hit a hole in one deals. I hit a sweet 5 wood tracking right at it...everyone was going crazy yelling because it looked like it was going in...ended up about 3 feet past...it was too far away to see just how close I was but that was a pretty exciting few seconds when everyone thought it was going to drop...
