Anyone else have immediate family member who constantly get trolled by Facebook?

I swear my mom is awful at this it seems everyday there's a video or article about something ridiculous Obama is doing that isn't real and she's having a fit about it
The other day there was a video of Obama supposedly calling his wife by the name "Michael" which of course played a 10 second clip that was taken totally out of context and in reality was Obama reffering to a military leader named Michael. When I presented this evidence to her she still refused to believe it
She is convinced that ole Miss's admin Is trying to get the university to no longer be called ole miss bc of all the stuff about the chancellor's letter earlier this week yet, and this kills me, REFUSES TO READ THE ORIGINAL DAMN LETTER ! That just drives me crazy
My grandad does the same stuff as he was telling me yesterday about how their trying to whitewash hitler and his atrocities from the history books in school and believe it or not he's a pretty smart guy. Of course when I pressed him on the statement he started talking about stuff that was completely unrelated about the movement to get God out of schools and teaching evolution. When I pointed out to him that has nothing to do with Hitler he had no response
I'm to the point that I told my mom unless it's a status made by a person you know on Facebook, don't click on it and read it . I would've just said don't click on third party articles but of course she never would've understood what that meant

I have a few, but I generally roll with it and egg them on even further. I had a friend in high school who constantly bit on every hook that came along; once I realized this I happily threw some more his way. He wasn't too bright and we are no longer speaking, but it was funny while it lasted. I think at one point he was outraged because Coke or Pepsi or some such didn't include 'god' on the pledge of allegiance on their can. I told them that I heard on the news that the company in question had banned mention of 'god' in any company work place, and that they made the women all wear headscarves and had muslim holidays instead of the christian ones. He was pissed for like 2 weeks.

I have a few, but none in my family. Most of my family is pretty non-political. I do like trolling a few of them right back.

It's funny bc my parents always told me you can't always believe what you see our hear about on TV but they are the first to fall victim to the Internet. I wonder what new technology will be around when I have kids that I will be too dumb to not get fooled by.

My dad gets trolled by chain emails daily. I used to argue with him about it, but I learned to just let it go. He once called me, fricking livid, because a chain email had just said Obama's latest executive order made owning any gun a felony, and that if he didn't turn his in by a certain date he'd be going to jail.

that's pretty funny What's weird is it's like they are smart enough to know that if you get out on google chrome and see some random article with an outrageous claim it's likely bullshite but if it's on Facebook , where only ppl like us post things, it must be true!

For him that sacred place is email. He knows the internet itself is full of shite, but he still considers emails to be like personal letters, something that no one would bullshite about.

Another solid point, those magazines by the checkout counter at the grocery store are full of shite but this article that so and so shared on Facebook is the word of God!

Not me, but it's only a matter of time. The wife recently got a FB account, and she's all-the-damn-time forwarding nonsense chain e-mails to me. My replies are generally links to snopes, but I see from this thread I may be going about it all wrong. I see looming trouble for me in the bedroom.
