If Barry Sanders doesn't win this there is something wrong. He rushed for almost 3,000 yards in 1988. THREE THOUSAND YARDS.

I was about to comment that Johhny was too low when I realized they legally have to put him at 12.

Manziel bird walks through this arbitrary, hypothetical tournament and claims the title of greatest single season in CFB history.

Doug Flutie is on there and no Bo Jackson?
Fail.
Fail.

This-- he also did it in 11 games (he played 3/4 of a bowl game and ran for another 220 but Bowl games don't count in the stats).
Put it this way, think of all the good SEC rushing teams in the last decade- Florida 2008 (though 2009 was better for rushing yards I think), Bama 2009, LSU 2007, Auburn 2004-- Barry had numbers similar or better than those teams.

Barry will and should win

That's why he's the top seed. The problem with this sort of thing is that it relies on more people being intellectually honest than we normally find in the real world. Generally, people are going to vote out of ignorance or out of personal loyalty.
Incidentally, McFadden's 2007 campaign should be a seed. Not a high seed, but a seed.

If they are simply talking about best individual season, this whole thing is pointless because its Barry.

Even as we're overwhelmed by eye-popping offensive numbers of this era, Sanders' season still stands out. He broke 38 FBS records, and his 154-yard game against Missouri was the lowest output of his season.
That's just stupid.

Cam was special but not Barry Sanders special

Tebow's 2007 season was statistically better.
