Great event...been going for last several years. Here are some cliff notes of what coach Ward, Botkin, Adams, Mangus, Connelly and Mangus had to say about our team:

-Larenz Bryant is the starter at BOB Linebacker now. But look for BAW to push him for that spot
-Golighty is becoming a great player, but look for Diggs to push for the starting spot as well
-Skai Moore is the starter at Weak Side LB, but Jonathan Walton could over take him. Walton has become that good
-The defense is going to be just as good as last year and maybe even a little better. The D is extremely motivated to prove everyone wrong. The talent is in place, but it's just more spread out to other positions.
-OLine goes three deep at many positions. Would feel comfortable playing a third stringer at certain spots. Testament of how deep we are.
-Same goes for DLine. Have several players who were recruited and had commitable offers from Alabama on two deep.
-Joe Connelly and Ward are excited about English. He is an athletic specimen and can play now. He has been 250lbs for the last two months and is maintaining it. Remember, he was only 17 when he got here
-Strength on our team is going to be OLine and Dtackles. This is huge in SEC. We have QUALITY depth at all those spots. First time we have been so deep and quality depth
-Al Harris Jr is going to be special and may start. He is going to be an
unbelievable player.
-ALL assistant coaches LOVE coaching with Spurrier and love Ray Tanner. They also LOVE Columbia
-Grady Brown was offered the Detroit Lions DB coach with more money. He wanted to stay in Columbia
-Kurt Botkin was offered the LB coach job at Arkansas with more money but turned down his Alma Mater to stay in Columbia
-Shawn Elliott was offered the Steelers OL job and Gators OL job for more money but wanted to stay in Columbia.

If I think of anything else, I'll post in this thread later.

Interesting....

I knew about Grady getting some offers for some coaching postions, even a HC job at a small school.

For years our coaches were being poached after success. Rychleski, Butler, Wolford, johnson, Graham, etc... Now our great coaches are sticking around. This is awesome.

That's a little unbelievable. The way Skai played last year it seems kinda strange that he's going to be fighting for his spot. I would think if Walton was pushing for anyone's position it would be Lewis.

They moved Walton to weak side linebacker though so that he wouldn't have to deal with making the adjustments for the defense.

And I think its just a testament to how talented Walton is. If hes getting on the field over Skai Moore, its a great thing imo. Proves we've got players out the wazoo.

Also, its great to see the coaches chose to stay in Cola, particularly over the NFL jobs. That list didn't mention Ward turning down FSU either.
