Is 19-1. I just read that on another board. Makes me think how badass our defense has really been and if Ropers the real deal. We back baby!

For reasons unknown, I'm really excited about the Kentucky game other than it being a night game. The first 3 games can be a real confidence booster for the team before the big bad Bama game.

I don't want to hear anything about keeping the offensive game plan vanilla for the first three games either to "save" it for Bama.

Run the whole offense, run up the score on the cupcakes (they are getting paid well) and give Bama lots to think about.

That's what I'm talking about. It's not like we have Guz calling plays out there. Just how complex is Ropers offense? How did Duke signal plays in?

What's sad about that stat, is that Muschamp has coached 38 games at Florida, which means UF has scored less than 20 points 18 times since he's been here...

And UF is 3-15 in those games...

I have no idea about either of the above questions. As you can probably imagine, Duke highlight videos are tough to find on youtube that show the play signaling. Heck, they are hard to find period.

The highlight film I did watch didn't show Roper much. The passing patterns are noticeably more vertical though.

Vanilla game plan = Vanilla offense all year.

Idaho gave up 47 ppg last year. If UF's offense doesn't put up at least 35 in the home opener, I might lose it.

7 of those games were the last 7 games last year. i don't think we have to worry about that stat just yet.

I want to score over 50. When's the last time this happened?

The first 2 games of the season against Idaho and Eastern Michigan we should be going for 70+ points and then shoot for 50+ against Kentucky. We gotta set the tone early and go for scorched earth. Screw making friends this is about getting back to elite status. I want the offense to bring it every damn play like we know the defense is gonna bring it every damn play. If were up 77-0 against Idaho I wanna see a flea flicker or some random arse trick play thats gonna piss people off around the country. I want this team to be hungry as hell and let people know everywhere that another Ga Southern is never going to happen around these parts again. Its time to get that swagger back.

I want all that too. I want to be the most hated team. That means we are kicking arse again.

This is the best explanation of how Ropers offense is designed that I have found on the interwebz.

Sorry, but 4 - 8, getting beaten by an FCS who didn't even complete a pass the entire game and being destroyed by Vanderbilt on Homecoming is all I can really think about.

I'm hopeful, but I'd much rather see the improvement than even speculate at this point. What I do know is that Muschamp is going to abandon his dream of a power offense -- thank God.

Its definitely hard to not think about last year. I will leave ya with a quote that I really love.

"You gotta go through the bad stuff in life, to fuel your hunger and desire, and then you can appreciate the good stuff."

Yes, I suppose that was the only way we could ever dream of ditching the Bama Jr. Offense was to have something that bad. So I suppose we could have very well been mediocre through the next three seasons.

I think if we adjust the offense, we'll have a good team. I just need to see it first. Two offensive coordinators, same offense.
