Menzie was cut by Carolina and has said he is done with football.

I think we will put a lot of good players in the league but I also think that some guys will get drafted just because of the system that we run on defense.

Good luck to him. Menzie was a stud at Bama, but was kind of under the radar playing with that defense.

I've seen early reports that Nico took some 1st team reps at Chiefs camp (something that didn't happen last year), Ro had taken some 2nd team reps at Cowboys camp, and CJ was the 1st player to hit the field at the first Ravens practice

So hopefully our former LBs will have a good year

I thought Ro was locked up. Man if he can get his head right he could be a beast in Dallas.

Heard CyKo has been underwhelming. Sounds like that knee injury may be still bothering him.

HaHa has yet to take a first team snap.

Every part of Julio Jones' day has looked explosive. He's stopping on a dime. Showing no ill effects.

I hope Julio picks up where he left off last season.

I know Ro got sentenced to jail time but he must not be serving it yet:

@Ianfitzespn: Dallas LB Rolando McClain looked to be in good physical shape but was obviously not in football shape. Already 2nd team & making calls.

Some Packer fans I know say it's more of a test for HaHa than him underperforming. Just what they've said though. I don't know if they heard something wrong or what.

I predict huge success for CJ Mosely. The guy is explosive and never misses a tackle.

He got convicted in muni court, but he's appealed it to the Circuit Court. The Circuit Court case will be de novo, which basically means it's as if his conviction in muni never happened.

Wouldn't read too much into this because CSP has always had good things to say about Ingram, but it's promising that he's working with 1st team:

quote:

Ingram worked primarily with the first team on Saturday, while Thomas spent time with the reserves. Although it's far too early to draw firm conclusions, coach Sean Payton did refer to Ingram as "one of our starters" when answering a question about him Saturday. "He's a guy that we felt played very well in the last half of the season," Payton said. "It's a position where we obviously carry depth, because it's a position that gets nicked up in our game. (Ingram) is smart. He's tough. He runs with good pad level. So far, he's doing well."

Sounds like Dial is making some noise with my 9ers
quote:

Members of the 49ers defensive line have a right to be upset. Throughout the spring, the attention was on running backs and receivers. What about the d-line? The first four sessions, sans Pro Bowler Justin Smith, have featured a physical group that is constantly making plays. In particular, second-year linemen Tank Carradine and Quinton Dial have been tough to block. Couple their ascension with fellow reserves Tony Jerod-Eddie and Demarcus Dobbs, and San Francisco will have a formidable line rotation for the upcoming season.

Ingram did really good toward the end of the season. But no running back will be able to flourish in NOLA.
