Spurrier has a point haha. If my son were being recruited by Alabama I would be highly skeptical as well. The odds are not in your favor. There are 3 or 4 guys at every position who are just as good as you, even if you are a 4 star recruit.

Spurrier has stepped his game up in the last couple of years. Maybe not coaching wise but he is at the top of his trolling game.

Does SOS have animosity, loathing of some sort for Saban, or Bama in general?

IMHO, Saban has very little "selling" to do in recruiting these days. Every damn parent, recruit, high school coach in the country knows what Saban & Bama football are. You either have enough confidence in your abilities to compete with the roster or you don't.

I don't think so necessarily, I just think he regrets not taking/getting the UA job when he had the chance. He feels like he would be doing the same thing at Bama that Saban is. He's probably right.
