Life is good.
Did you know that Chelsea Handler's grandfather was a Nazi soldier who was captured and sent to Algona, Iowa as a WWII prisoner of war?
The Nazi regime's propaganda machine told Nazi soldiers that if captured by the United States they would be castrated and experimented upon. Ironic, huh? The propaganda was used to scare the soldiers into never surrendering - to keep them fighting.
However, when Chelsea Handler's grandfather arrived to the Algona, Iowa POW camp, his treatment was FAR better than anticipated. The prisoners were regularly fed good food. In fact, they were fed better than how they were fed in the German army. They were allowed to exercise every day. They were encouraged to be creative. POW pictures showed German POWs acting in a camp play complete with a stage and elaborate sets and costumes.
He liked his experience in the United States so much that after the war he returned to the US and eventually became a citizen.
We can thank him for creating the bloodlines that would eventually create Chelsea Handler.
SIDE NOTE:
Killz's Cucumber Martini recipe
2 ounces Cucumber Vodka
1/2 ounce Vermouth
1/2 ounce Agave Nectar
1/2 ounce lime juice
Crushed cucumber
Garnish with two very thinly sliced cucumbers and a mint sprig.
Good day from southwest Missouri.

So she says...but her grandfather was 100 percent a Nazi POW in Algona, Iowa.
Seems like she's a hypocrite.
Shocking.

Here is my martini recipe:
3 shots of Titos
Crushed ice
Shake the shite out of it until small barely visible ice crystals form on top when poured in martini glass
Add olive or whatever
Drink
No Germans please

same thing in my area with German POW's. They walked around town, went to movies. Some of the biggest rice farmers in my area are descendants of german POWs.

I can go both ways with the Vodka or Gin thing. Not as big of deal as in the old days.
German POWS use to work farms in Lee County, AL, during the war as well, BTW. From what my older relatives tell me -- they seemed to enjoy being feed good southern cooking from the farm.
Lots of people don't know that we had POW camps in the US during WWII.

Honestly, her Grandpa's story is interesting especially since she proclaims herself to be a Jew's Jew.

Sleepy just has too much magma in him.
