I've seen some unusual ads but not one quite like this Craigslist ad from a Joplin resident:

"We are looking to trade a few farm animals for a decent RV that is livable. We have 5 goats with one that is pregnant. Big white turkeys (2). A couple of Muscovy ducks and a hand full of chickens. We also have an A frame chicken pen with 3 hen nests in it. This is pretty much a whole farm for someone wanting to get started. Please email with pictures of what you have. Thanks." LINK

And then there's several pictures where you can actually view the animals such as this pic.

Kilz or some of you folks up that way who are outdoor oriented do you think you could help this fellow? Evidently he is trying to get ready for tailgating and the Arkansas-Missouri rivalry. Here's your opportunity to give someone a home and get into farming as well. Also, raise a few ducks.

So he's wanting a $10K RV for about $70 worth of shitty birds.

eta: oh and the $200 in goats that will cause more in property damages than they're worth.

Well it sounds like we may have quite a businessman on our hands--he's just trying to make a good deal. And he does have a "hand full" of chickens as well.

This is the part that made me say WTF. My dad grew for Tyson when I was a kid, a smallish commercial house will hold 20,000 birds. Today's 8-10 house operations will process up to a half million birds a year.

so yea a couple turkeys, some ducks, and a coop with 3 nests is a complete poultry farm.

I like that the picture of the birds is from 2008.

The map on the ad shows him to be an Arkansas resident posting on the Joplin listings, so don't try to troll any tigers about this.

Lit,

You sure this person is a Missouri resident. Fact check before you answer my question...

Sounds like we've encountered the next great business man from Missouri to start a Fortune 500 company here in the Natural state

For a second I thought you were going to say you heard this on KURM's Dial-a-Trade.

Well, truth is we don't know where dude resides as he didn't list any city. He posted this on the Joplin Craigslist but didn't put it on the Fayetteville Craigslist even though the map shows an address somewhere near Fayetteville. Ergo, I'm thinking he must hail from north of the border-- he's just using the map thingy and phone number with a 479 area code for cover--doesn't this make perfect sense?

But regardless of actual residence we need to help a brother out for such a display of ingenuity--if he is a Missouri resident we need to assist our friendly neighbors who reside in colder climes and warm a heart; if he is a Hog fan we need to help out one of our own so maybe he'll get to tailgate at the Arkansas-Missouri game. Either way it would be entertaining to see what kind of RV he acquires in exchange for this menagerie.

Lit,

Sounds like he may be desperate for a home. Perhaps he's about to lose everything.

Anyone got a tent they could give him?
