Take this news with a little bit of a grain of salt because it's coming from another notable prospect, but I was told that Rivals100 OT Martez Ivey was indeed telling other prospects at The Opening that he plans on committing to Auburn to join Chandler Cox. I know AD had a story recently with Cox talking up this angle, and I can tell you that the two are pretty much like brothers, with Cox basically calling the shots when it comes to camps, all-star games, etc.

Ivey has said he'll wait until the fall to announce, but all signs are pointing to the Tigers right now.
Per Woody Wommack.

The information shared with him was not from an Auburn or Florida commit.

Read until "grain of salt", then stopped. Nobody but Martez and the 2 staffs know much about his recruitment.

Judging by AU's need, Grob being drafted in the top-5, the uncertain situation around UF's football program, and Chandler Cox coming to AU, I'm going to say Ivey is heading to The Plains. It would be a huge pull for AU. It's not often the #1 recruit in FL goes out of state.

Well, to be fair, if true, it came from Ivey's mouth. I'd hope he'd know about his recruitment

Tray Matthews and Reuben Foster were gonna play together also.

Nobody but Ivey knows, if that.

Well you need to keep reading then because it's about what Ivey is saying.

I'm feeling good about Ivey right now but there's a long way to go.

UF coaches still feel good about him too. That's why I don't think AU is really the team to beat, and honestly I don't trust any other kids or what they say. Way too much misinformation, etc these days. When the UF staff starts to worry, I'll be the first to come on here and say he is AU's, but from what I've heard that isn't the case.

Yeah UF doesn't feel as confident with Holland. If UF gets Thomas in early August, Holland isn't a big deal. He is a good player though.

Solid post. I said what I said just off logical conclusions, but we all know that doesn't often play a role in recruiting. I am not going to get my hopes up for Ivey coming to AU, but it seems to "make the most sense".

Excellent, we have always been told to be worried about Florida here...

To add another "grain of salt" post... Someone from another message board said they met Ivey in a restaurant and asked him where he was signing and he replied "probably Auburn".

Huge grain of salt there because it came from an AU forum

That's probably after I met with him. The bag has been delivered.
