At the time, I read it was a bone bruise on his knee. Gus said Carl is working extremely hard to get back by the end of the season. I hope Carl is a quick healer.

Sounds like a partial tear more so than a complete.

Recovery time is shorter if that is the case...

We all knew he had knee surgery. Just not the exact surgery. So this shouldn't be ground breaking news to anyone.

Johnson came out and said that they expect Carl back sometime during the season. Maybe even by KSU (pretty optimistic IMO).

Johnson said coaches are cautiously “optimistic” that Lawson could return to action at some point during the regular season, potentially even in time for Auburn’s first road game Sept. 18 at Kansas State — roughly 14 weeks after his surgery.

Redshirt would be meaningless, assuming he can give you something this season... Carls a three year player, four max.... no way he's staying five.

Yeah, that's what I mean. Word was Carl would be back early in the season. Gus said, on the podium, that we are hoping to get him back by the end of the year. I think we are o.k. if he misses half the season. It's not ideal, but.......We definitely need him back for Nov., IMO.

Nice little switcheroo they pulled, not sure why they didn't just come out and say this to begin with. If a kid's injured, he's injured. No reason to play games with it.

We would be EXTREMELY fortunate to get him back 100% by November... don't count on it at all.

Yeah. One of our better players, who was thought to be only missing the early part of the season, may miss the entire season. How is that news?

No. He should go to Germany. That's where AP went a few years ago when he had his ACL tear, and he was back running with the Vikings is no time.
