It is according to ESPN.

I was a student at UGA and at Spurrier's 1st game as a coach in JAX.

At the end of the game, the UF section burst out into "It's great to beat the shite out of Georgia..."

Over and over again. And the streak began.

Ray Gump had no answer to the evil genius's coaching prowess; even when we had "better" teams.

So what do you say Gators?

Who do you want to beat more? US or the Criminoles???

WLOCP is very important for him, as is the UT game.

2014 WLOCP is do or die game for Muschump. Florida just can't lose 4 in a row to St.Richt. I predict UF will lose and they'll be looking for a new coach.

It's not the most important game if we go into it with no or 1 loss and losing will not cost us a chance at the East title.

Sure, listening to the little old ladies barking in our faces is a tad annoying and tasteless, but it's tolerable if we can still make the SECCG.

Losing to FSU, because most of us encounter those dillweeds more often is less desirable most of the time. That's just my opinion because I have some ruthless FSU friends that are still mad UF turned them down.

So that makes this years game less important? No. I'd actually say UT has a better shot of winning this year than we have had recently. With the game being at home and finally a stable coaching staff and upward momentum (nb4 you said the samne thing in 2012 blah blah blah, well yall hadn't gone 4-8 in 2011).

And IMO the UT game is more important. If UF loses, hot seat talks will begin immediately, and UF fans will melt (so will we), potentially leading to a downward spiral like what happened after the LSU game last year. The WLCOP is late enough that UF should have some wins under his belt so a loss wouldnt be as bad (unless the winner determines the east). But i could see this argument going both ways. And the answer wont be actually known until after the season so it's all conjecture at this point.

The only melt will occur if we lose to UT and the offense is still horrific. If the offense performs well and we lose a barn burner there will be no melt. There will be disappointment in the defense but hardly a melt.

It's all about the offense and improvement this year for most of our sane fans. Going 8-4 would not bother me a bit as long as we are competent on offense. Just look at last year. Even with a competent offense, not a great one, we would have had a much better record.

Don't try to force a rivalry that isn't there. We don't really think about UT much any longer. Focus on Bama and Vanderbilt.

The UT game is only important if UF loses. Thats because UT should be maybe the 7th toughest team on the sched this year and losing to them is unacceptable.

The UGA game is important because itll go a long way in determining who wins the east and because uf has lost three in a row.

Between uga and fsu THIS YEAR id say uga is more important. We expect to lose to fsu and normally id say beating fsu matters more, but uf really needs to win the east this year.

I think the same could be said for UF assuming our new OC is good and the O picks up the offense. We have a better shot of winning again if our starting QB stays healthy in the UT game.

The defense will still be salty sans a ton of injuries.

Ya'll will melt. Every UF fan ive talked to, and pretty much everyone on this site, is assured that UF will get 10 in a row this year, like it wont even be a contest. When ya'll lose, you will melt, especially if you play well and we still beat you.

yeah doubling my win total from last year wouldnt bother me a bit either.

You could say the same about every team with a bad o and a good d, or vice versa. I can say, if our 2012 team had had a competent defense, we would have won more games (considering our O had the highest production in UT history, and our D was one of the worst ever), but no one really cares about ifs and buts from the past.

Duh. Thats why I said we wont know the answer til after the season. And we also dont know what determines who had the tougher shcedule until after the season and all the results play out. FOr example, when we played yall last year, you were ranked in the top 10 I believe, but how did you finish? When we played SC they were #14, and they ended up #4.

the Vowels need to be concentrating on Utah State. At this point, big orange is not in the discussion for "most important game" for anybody...

Start winning and that will change

I will not melt as long as the offense shows improvement. I don't know what to tell you.

How so? There are 5 of us.

Again, don't try to make something out of nothing. The 5 of us will only melt if we lose and look bad doing it.

Losing to UT should cost Muschamp his job though IMO even with an improved offense. There's really no excuse for losing to UT.

Are you kidding? If UF loses to UT, that means they will be 3-2 (0-2) and out of the SEC race at the beginning of October. That is just fricking unacceptable and I'll be looking for Muschamp's head. So yes - melt.

Losing to UT in 2014 would be similar to the 2004 gators losing to fricken MSU... It's a coaching change type of loss, and it means UF is headed for another miserable season.

They are as weak as they have ever been on the offensive and defensive lines. Sure they have skill talent, but when does that ever really matter when you can't win the LOS? Also, unless there is a monumental change in their QB's, I would still take Jeff Driskel over anyone they have at QB and that is saying something, because I am no fan of Jeff Driskel.

The only SEC game that would be worse for UF to lose than UT would be Kentucky. Even Vanderbilt has been better than UT the last few years.

I am melting just thinking about that scenario. I would literally be in a drunken rage at Muschamp if UF somehow lost to UT. I WANT 10 IN A ROW!
