The observation isn't inherently racist.
What could be inferred as his intent from it, that non-whites are lazy, could be racist.

I wasn't condemning the man - just pointing out how his tweet could be interpreted.
I don't know the person who tweeted it or their intentions behind it. I wouldn't think to cast judgement on them one way or the other.
Well, other than to say whoever tweeted that lacks tact and social skills...and is kind of dumb.
I mean, what drives you tweet something like that, and how do you not see a backlash coming from it?

Yea I agree with you all in that it isn't racist. I do think it's funny coming from NPR though.
