Greg McElroy says Nick Saban's influence still felt at LSU 10 years later

"They've had sustained success since (Nick) Saban left because he established that mindset," McElroy, who quarterbacked Alabama to the 2009 national title, said of the Tigers. Les Miles obviously did take over that program and has done a terrific job in his own right, but once you establish that mindset and have the leadership that's holding young players accountable, that success shouldn't soon dwindle. I think Alabama's going to be a perennial power for a number of years to come."
McElroy, now an analyst for the new SEC network, added that he believes Saban is "the hardest worker in the country" and there's one other secret to his success -- fear.
"I think he fears failure," McElroy said. "I wouldn't say he's in fear of any individual person. I think he's afraid of failing. I think he's afraid of failing himself. I think he understands he's going to be his own toughest critic, for that reason. That's what separates some of the greats from the best of all-time, and he's in that conversation in my opinion. He's going to continue to keep working and trying to get better.
"I think he's enjoying it now more than ever before, as well. All three of those make a dangerous recipe for the rest of the SEC."

You would think that Alabama was little bro to LSU instead of Bama being lil bro to Auburn after whats been posted today... this is sad.

Yeah, they are still living down the embarrassment of losing to UAB.
