If this deal gets done the SECN officially has had the most successful launch of any college sports network ever.

I wouldn't expect them to cave anytime soon. Their CEO has gone on the record saying that these sorts of networks are the devil.

quote:

DirecTV CEO Mike White once told Wall Street analysts on a conference call, according to Bloomberg, "If I could wave a wand, the first thing I would peel off is regional sports networks. The cost is just too high."

In that same article they talked about how Comcast wanted to get a deal done so I think that is a good source.

If you are on Directv and you want SECN start planning your move to Dish or get a second service (that is what I did, got Uverse JUST for SECN and Internet).

Clay Travis also broke the story that Peyton Manning had agreed to a contract with the Titans. So.....grain of salt and all

As long as you NEVER, ever, ever, ever, ever have to interact with one of those hapless idiots they have for "customer service", then Comcast isn't so bad.

However you could regard Comcast as the greatest company in the world and after a single customer service call, they'd be in your top 5 worst companies in the world. The customer service is that bad.

I hate them because of their political leanings and the fact they are anti net-neutrality.

As for the OP, I'm disappointed. I really was hoping they would hold out and not sign a deal, screwing their customers and hopefully losing a large chunk of them in the process.
