Offensive Style: Spread (Very similar to what UT is running)
Base Defense: 3-4

*Utah State comes in dead last in the country in players returning from the prior season. Out of last years 22 starters, only 7 are returning. With key play maker QB Chuckie Keeton returning from a season ending torn ACL that happened mid way through last years season.
USU had, statistically, one of the countries best defenses last year. Particularly in the front 7 and with stopping the run. Fortunately for us, they lose all but 4 of last years 11 starters.

It's a must win for a young team and CBJ.
IMO this game revolves around our ability to stop Keeton and how well the Oline holds up.
Definitely one of the bigger openers we've had in a few years

It's no team you want to sleep on, but I think you guys will more than handle USU. Their defense last year was legit, no doubt. But they lost so many from that squad (I know Rams took their S in 4th round). Hard to tell what to expect with so much turnover.

The way our schedule unfolds the only way we make a bowl is to win this game IMO

Utah State is starting former Vol Daniel Gray at CB. The last time he started at Neyland Stadium the other team racked up over 700 yards in offense.

I think UT wins this handily. And to clarify, I'm not one of those who has us competing for the east this year.
This is one of those early games that we like to worry about too much. Of course, the only thing that worries me is the QB. Defensive speed should be better this year though. I think this one is over by mid 3rd quarter at the latest.
