For Auburn it has to be Kevin Greene

ETA was on the NFL all 90's team, 5x probowler, 3x all pro, third most sacks in NFL history

Will Lowery

I don't know that many older ones so it's probably some one else but Will was good for us.

Ravi "Mayhem" Moss. Was an actual contributor AND got charged with mayhem in a Hopkinsville melee.

Van Tiffin

quote:

Tiffin was the Alabama Crimson Tide's primary placekicker from 1983-1986. He holds the school record for longest converted field goal, with a successful 57-yard attempt against Texas A&M in 1985. He also held the school record for converting 135 extra point attempts until his son, Leigh Tiffin, broke it in 2009 by one; Van never missed, however, going 135 for 135, while Leigh required 142 attempts.[1] Tiffin's most notable kick came in the 1985 Iron Bowl against in-state rival Auburn. His 52-yard field goal lifted the Crimson Tide to a 25–23 victory as time expired. It has become part of Alabama lore, known mainly as "the kick."[citation needed] He was named to the College Football All-America Team in 1986.

Don't know if he's the best walk on, but he's the best I could recall:

Off the top of my head, for UT...probably J.J. McCleskey. Knoxville product that walked on to UT and ended up being a team captain. Played 9 years in the NFL (4 for the Saints and 5 for the Cardinals).

Tie.

Richard "Le Sack" Tardits. All time sack leader at UGA until Pollack broke it. Not bad for a guy from France that had only ever played Rugby before picking up a football at UGA.

Billy Bennett. I think he still holds SEC points records as a kicker. Dude was short, a musician, and he kicked the shite out of some footballs.

Rashad Johnson eventually earned a scholarship but he came to Alabama as a walk on running back. His 3 interceptions against lsu in tiger stadium in 2008 are the reason we won that game.

Brandon Burlsworth. Became an All-American OG and was drafted in the third round. He was killed in a car accident 11 days after the draft.

Now the Brandon Burlsworth Trophy is awarded to one outstanding walk-on player every year.

Was gonna be my answer.

That LSU game

Then again, he had Pick Six Lee throwing the balls to him.
