Went to the kids game tonight and there were nothing but southerners there and I couldn't understand a damn word they were saying. It's like it was a whole different language. I mean, when did the word "boy" all of a sudden have 4 syllables in it????

Seriously though, y'all brought some really good kids teams up here to St. Louis. Sox from Ridgeland Mississippi? EM Majors from Bentonville Arkansas and the Arkansas Mighty Ducks from Russelville Arkansas. At the Yard Baseball and the Kentucky Prospects from, well from Kentucky. Memphis Tigers. DBat Elite and S3 Hustlers from Texas.

Some really good baseball from the kids and thought I'd just acknowledge it. Having said that, the Missouri host team hasn't lost yet.

Almost forgot. Your baseball moms are

The Kentuckians were representing themselves well, and I'm not just talking about the teams going 3-1.

Bullshite. They were at least 6'3" 225. I seriously think the Mississippi team had 3 or 4 kids who were more of a man than I can ever dream to be.

Travel ball in Jackson and Desoto areas has gotten really really serious over the past 7-8 years.

It's gotten crazy here too. I suppose they have their ups and downs but overall they really just seem to be a money grab. When I was growing up, we played 100+ ball games. Would travel 3 or 4 times a year. And didn't have to pay someone an extra few thousand dollars just to have a "Rawlings" insignia on our jersey.

I sponsor a couple if the qualifies here in Desoto county. One of my businesses sits in front of the biggest LL field in the surrounding Memphis area.
